Klopp ‘convinced’ Emre Can’s future remains at Liverpool as contract talks drag on
Liverpool star Emre Can will have just over a year remaining on his contract this summer but Jurgen Klopp is convinced he will stay at the club.
The Germany international of Turkish origin has been locked in contract talks which have dragged on for months.
Klopp was quoted by the Mirror as saying: “The story around Emre is a public story. We don’t feel it like this. We are convinced, he is convinced, I am convinced.
“It will happen, or not, but it’s a normal thing too. In this moment it’s all good.”

The Liverpool Echo recently reported that Can is holding out for a contract worth £100,000 per week.
Can did received criticism from sections of the media as well as the fans following a dip in form.
The 23-year-old has however, improved his performances recently and featured as a first-team central midfielder following the injury of Jordan Henderson.
Can scored his first goal of 2017 in the 2-1 victory over Burnley, provided the pass which resulted in the goal winning penalty in the 1-1 draw against Manchester City over the weekend and started in the 3-1 win over Arsenal.
The powerful midfielder earned a recall to the Germany national team as a result of his impressive form.
