Everton transfer news: Rival emerges for £25m striker target Cedric Bakambu
Besiktas boss Senol Gunes has instructed his club to sign Cedric Bakambu over the upcomming transfer window, according to Fotomac.
Meanwhile, The Sun reports that Premier League side Everton are also interested in the DR Congo international. Per-the source the Toffees want to sign Bakambu as a replacement for the out-bound Romelu Lukaku.
Besiktas may however have a trump card up their sleeve as manager Senol Gunes has previously worked with Bakambu. In fact, the former Turkey national team coach is responsible for reviving Bakambu’s career and earning him a move to Villarreal.
The Sun go onto state that Villarreal are demanding £25 million for the pacy striker.

Besiktas boss Gunes is understood to be on the lookout for a new forward following Vincent Aboubakar’s string of red-cards. The on-loan striker saw red against Olympiakos in the Europa League and was sent off again over the weekend against Antalyaspor.
Cedric Bakambu has endured a disappointing season so far with just three goals in 16 apperances.
