Everton leading the race for £25m Villarreal star striker Cedric Bakambu
Everton are in talks to sign Villarreal striker Cedric Bakambu according to Özgür Sancar.
Sancar – who also writes for the Spanish outlet AS – told Turkish Radio station Radyospor that Everton are one of several Premier League sides interested in Bakambu.
However, Sancar went onto say that Everton have already made headway in the race to sign Bakambu.
Per the source, reigning Turkish super league champions Besiktas are also interested in signing the DR Congo international.
Sancar also stated that Cedric Bakambu will be leaving Villarreal at the end of the season.
Besiktas will be hoping their manager Senol Gunes can convince Bakambu to make the move to Turkey.
The experienced manager is responsible for reviving Bakambu’s career during his spell at Bursaspor.

According to The Sun, Villarreal are demanding £25 million for the pacy striker.
Bakambu has disappointed this season. The DR Congo international has only managed to score three goals in 16 apperances.
