Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is facing a midfield crisis ahead of Tuesday’s game against Bournemouth.

Klopp will be without captain Jordan Henderson and Adam Lallana who are currently in Florida for specialist treatment for their respective problems.

Klopp told reporters at his pre-derby press conference: “Jordan has unfortunately had a little setback, he’s not in team training up til now, that’s how it is.

“I can’t say in this moment how long – hopefully not too long. Yes I know when we were here last time I said I hoped he would be in training in this week but he wasn’t.

“So next week looks like this too, so we have to wait for this.”

Sadio Mane limped off against Everton and faces a scan today but it does not look like he will be ready for Wednesday’s night clash.

With Henderson out Emre Can is almost certain to keep his place in central midfield.

Emre Can

The Germany international of Turkish origin has been in great form recently after filling in for Henderson as the Reds first-choice central midfielder.

Can has started the Reds last five league games which have seen them record victories over Arsenal, Everton and hold Manchester City to a draw at the Etihad.

In other Liverpool news striker Daniel Sturridge is also out for the game against the Cherries.
