However, Goal Turkey recently reported that Sunderland are unwilling to settle for anything less than Lens’ €15 million release clause.
The Istanbul giants would struggle to match Sunderland’s price tag, as they must adhere to Financial Fair Play rulings next season.
Lens has been a huge success at Fenerbahce since joining on loan at the beginning of the season.
The 29-year-old has racked up 13 assists and four goals in 27 apperances for Fenerbahce this season.
Fenerbahce are currently 4th in the league table with 47 points after 26 games. Dick Advocaat’s side take host Kayserispor at the Şükrü Saracoğlu Stadium tomorrow in the Turkish Cup.
