Enes Unal – FC Twente

The boy wonder struck again for the Dutch giants scoring his 14th Eredivisie record in the process as the highest scoring Turkish international player to ever play in the league. Unal now has a total of 15 goals in all competitions and you have to start wondering whether Pep Guardiola is considering to bring him home to Manchester City next season.

Emre Mor – Borussia Dortmund

The 19-year-old winger came on as a second half substitute in the 1-1 draw against Schalke. Instead we are going to focus on the fact Thomas Tuchel gave the rising star a rare start in the mid-week game against Hamburg. Dortmund ended up rolling HSV over with a comfortable 3-0 victory. Mor gave the opposition defence problems with his darting runs and he ended up pulling off more successful dribbles than anyone else on the pitch (3). Hopefully he did enough to earn himself a starting role next week.

Emre Can – Liverpool

The slicked-haired midfield monster put on yet another swashbuckling display for the Reds. Can had to deal with a physical Everton midfield in the Merseyside derby but was up for the challenge. The 23-year-old has given head coach Jurgen Klopp a lot to think about moving forward. Perhaps captain Jordan Henderson won’t walk back into the team considering the form Can has been in. The Germany international of Turkish origin has now been involved in the Merseyside derby victory, a convincing win over Arsenal and scored the winning goal against Burnley since Henderson got injured.

Nuri Sahin – Borussia Dortmund

It was great to see Sahin return after a lengthy period on the sidelines. The Turkish international was brought on in the 77th minute during the 3-0 win over Hamburg.

Omer Toprak – Bayer Leverkusen

When a team conceded three goals it makes it rather difficult to find much to praise the defence about. Toprak was not at his best in the 3-3 draw against Wolfsburg. The experienced defender is going to have to dig deep and try to sure up a shaky defence going forwards. Bayer have not kept a clean sheet for six games now.

Mesut Ozil – Arsenal

Ozil was slammed for his defensive work leading up to Manchester City’s goals. Ozil was then praised for his role in providing the assist for the equaliser. Typical Ozil.
