Dilmen reveals why Besiktas were lucky not to draw Man United
Turkish football pundit Ridvan Dilmen revealed that Besiktas were lucky not to draw Manchester United in the Europa League quarter-finals.
Speaking on NTV Sport following the Black Eagles 4-3 win over Trabzonspor, Dilmen revealed that the Istanbul giants are his favourites against Lyon.
Dilmen stated that United are being underestimated while too much respect is being shown for Lyon.
The former Fenerbahce star underlined that while Lyon are a good side they are not on the level of United and Besiktas.

“Besiktas are my favourites against Lyon, clear favourites as well,” Dilmen said.
“We really have exaggerated Lyon, look if it was Manchester United I would have been really worried they are being underestimated but have a top manager and quality players.
“Lyon are obviously a team to take seriously but let us not pretend they are a better side than Besiktas.”
Lyon are considered dark horses in the Europa League but Besiktas have been in great form domestically and an impressive record in Europe.
Besiktas became the first team to beat Napoli away in the Champions League and did not lost to the Italian giants or Benfica in the group stages.
The Istanbul giants scored 10 goals combined in the Europa League over the Round of 32 and Last 16 stages against Olympiakos and Hapoel Beer-Sheva.
Besiktas go into the Lyon clash as Turkish league leaders.
