Chelsea news: Conte green lights defender transfer to Euro giants managed by ex-Juventus teammate

Chelsea manager has given Kurt Zouma the green light to join Galatasaray on a one-year loan according to reports in Turkey.

Turkish sports newspaper AMK claim that Conte will allow Zouma to join his former Juventus teammate Igor Tudor at Galatasaray.

Tudor currently manages Galatasaray and is expected to make use of his close ties to Conte in the transfer market over the summer.

Per the source, talks between the two clubs are expected to go ahead over the next few weeks.

Chelsea loan out several players across Europe each season and Tudor wants to strengthen his side with temporary transfers.

Galatasaray will have their hands tied in the transfer market due to being under the watch of Financial Fair Play (FFP).

FFP have also suspended Galatasaray from European competition for one-season and the ban could be increased to two-seasons if the Lions do not bring spending under control.

As a result Galatasaray will target loan moves over the summer transfer window.

Zouma has struggled to settle in this season making just seven appearances and playing just 151 minutes of Premier League football.

The 22-year-old does have another two-years remaining on his contract and a move to Galatasaray could help revitalise his career.

Zouma would be brought in as a first-team player and Galatasaray are expected to qualify for European football next season.
