Hull City transfer news: Ligue 1 giants enter race for £8.5m defender who club officials recently held talks with
The Ligue 1 giants Olympique Marseille have entered the race to sign Fenerbahce centre-back Simon Kjaer.
According to the Turkish outlet Milliyet, Marseille sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta has tabled a £8.5 million offer for the Denmark international.
The report goes onto state that Fenerbahce are prepared to offload their star man at the right price this summer.

Marseille boss Rudi Garcia is understood to be keen to wrap up the transfer. Garcia worked with Kjaer while he was the manager of Lille.
Meanwhile, the Turkish outlet Fotomac has stated that Hull City officials are also in talks with with Fenerbahce officials. Per the source Hull have also set aside £8.5 million for Kjaer.
Kjaer has established himself as a fan favourite since joining Fenerbahce in 2015. The Denmark international has provided one assist and scored three goals in 37 apperances for Fenerbahce this term.
The 28-year-old is currently out-of-action after suffering a hamstring injury. It is unclear whether this will play for Fenerbahce again this season.
