Brazilian midfielder Lucas Leiva provided Can with the assist and sent him a message on Instagram following the victory.
Lucas shared a selfie alongside Can on the team coach alongside a caption including a Turkish message.
The message read: “Great win and what a goal Kardessssss !!! Thanks for your support !!! #ynwa #wearereds”

Kardes means ‘brother’ in Turkish. We assume Can must have taught him a few words of Turkish or perhaps he has been taking language lessons.
Whatever the reason we were pretty impressed with Lucas’ command of Turkish.
