Man United team news: Jose Mourinho facing injury crisis ahead of Arsenal clash
Premier League rivals Arsenal and Manchester United go head-to-head this weekend. Both sides are in need of a win in order to keep their top-four hopes alive.
Arsenal will be desperate to bounce back from last weekend’s defeat to Tottenham. The Gunners were outplayed and defeated by a 2-0 score line.
Man United meanwhile were held to a 1-1 draw last weekend in the league. The Red Devils did however defeat Celta Vigo in the Europa League on Thursday.
Jose Mourinho may opt to rest tired players for this weekends encounter with Arsenal.
The Portuguese tactician is also missing several key names due to injury.
Both Marcus Rashford and Ashley Young came off injured during Thursday evening’s win.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Luke Shaw, Marcos Rojo and Tim Fosu-Mensah meanwhile are all sidelined with injuries.
Belgium international Marouane Fellaini will miss this weekend’s clash due to a suspension.
Fellaini absence could leave Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil with more room to create chances. The Germany international has struggled for form in recent weeks and will be determined to make a difference in this weekends derby.
Ozil has 11 goals and 11 assists to his name so far this season.
Provisional Manchester United squad: De Gea, Romero, Pereira, Bailly, Blind, Darmian, Jones, Smalling, Tuanzebe, Valencia, Young, Carrick, Herrera, Lingard, Mata, McTominay, Mkhitaryan, Pogba, Willock, Martial, Rashford, Rooney.
