Arsenal beat Manchester United 2-0 at the Emirates to end the visitors 25 games unbeaten run in the league.

The Gunners also kept their chances of booking a top-four place alive.

Sixth-placed Arsenal closed the gap with fifth-placed Manchester United to just two points and the Gunners still have a game in hand.

The North London outfit do however, still need fourth-placed Manchester City to drop points if they are to book a Champions League spot next season.

The Arsenal team had no time for mulling over the current permutations after the game. They were too busy celebrating and taking changing room selfies.

Mesut Ozil shared a selfie with a few of his teammates after the game.

The Germany international of Turkish origin was all smiles in the picture he shared on Twitter.

Interestingly enough United are actually the bookmakers favourites to become Ozil’s next club.

Ozil will have just 12 months remaining on his contract at the end of the season and has yet to sign an extension.

United may be the bookmakers favourites to sign Ozil but his family have been urging him to join Turkish league giants Fenerbahce.

“Many people ask me that question [about Fenerbahce], my family, my friends,” the World Cup winner was quoted as saying by Goal.

“When they hear something like that they keep telling me: “Join that club” or “Go there!” But at the moment I have a contract at Arsenal and I do not think about Turkey or other leagues.

“You can never know what is going to happen in the future. I feel very, very comfortable here.

“We’ll see about the rest.”
