Mesut Ozil ditches contract talks with Dick Law in favour of Arsenal owner Stan Kroenke’s son after failing to agree over ‘image rights’
Mesut Ozil has been in talks with Arsenal over a contract extension according to Football.London.
Per the source, Ozil’s representatives were in talks with chief transfer negotiator Dick Law but have ditched him in favour of Arsenal’s controlling shareholder Stan Kroenke’s son, Josh.
The report claims that Ozil’s team failed to failed to reach an agreement over image rights and other complicating factors.
As a result negotiations are now being held with Josh who has been growing in influence behind the scenes.

Ozil will have just 12 months remaining on his contract at the end of the season but he has yet to sign a new deal or reveal what he plans to do next.
The Gunners could be forced to sell Ozil over the summer if he does not commit to a new deal.
Ozil did however, recently reveal that he is happy in London and at Arsenal.
“I simply love to live here. London is a world city. There is so much you can do,” Ozil told Goal.
“There are many different cultures here and I just feel very, very comfortable. The club is huge and I enjoy playing for Arsenal. Living in London is awesome.”
The Germany international of Turkish origin has also been closely linked with a move to Turkish league giants Fenerbahce.
Ozil stated that his family have been urging him to consider joining the Yellow Canaries.
“Many people ask me that question [about Fenerbahce], my family, my friends. When they hear something like that they keep telling me: ‘Join that club’ or ‘Go there!’, but at the moment I have a contract at Arsenal and I do not think about Turkey or other leagues,” he added.
“You can never know what is going to happen in the future. I feel very, very comfortable here. We’ll see about the rest.”
