Arsenal beat Stoke City 4-1 at the Britannia stadium to keep their hopes of finishing in the top-four alive.

The Gunners moved just one point behind fourth-placed Liverpool who face a tricky test away to West Ham today at the London stadium.

Germany international of Turkish origin Mesut Ozil was among the players to get their name on the scoresheet.

Ozil scored his 12th goal of the season in the process and his eighth in the Premier League which is a new personal best for him in a single season in England.

We took a look at how Arsenal fans reacted to Ozil’s display on social media.

Did you know that was the first time Ozil has started away against Stoke?

That chant is back.

As stats go this one is pretty impressive.

And another one.

And another one.

It wasn’t quite cold and windy but Ozil was still able to prove himself in an evening at Stoke.

Sanchez and Ozil were brilliant against Stoke City but both will have just 12 months remaining on their contract at the end of the season and have yet to sign a new deal.

Do West Ham fans owe Arsenal a win against Liverpool after the abuse they have given Ozil?
