Bursaspor face a tough test against league leaders and rivals Beşiktaş in Istanbul on Sunday in the Süper Lig.
Fernandao is the leading scorer in the league with 13 goals this season. The Brazilian would be a huge loss if unavailable for the game.
The 27-year-old has a total of 14 goals in all competitions this season and could have taken his tally to 15 had he not missed a second half penalty against Başakşehir in the Turkish Cup Last 16.
Bursaspor are currently 4th in the Süper Lig on 33 points after 19 games this season.
