Lyon plotting bid for £10m Liverpool defensive target, Reds in talks with agent over summer transfer
Lyon are plotting a move for Fenerbahce defender Simon Kjaer according to reports in Turkey.
Fanatik report that the Ligue 1 giants are plotting a move for the 28-year-old but have yet to make a bid.
Per the source, Lyon have struggled defensively this season and are also interested in signing Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho.
The Reds want at least £30 million for the France international who has been on loan at Crystal Palace this season.
The latest developments follow fellow French outfit Marseille targeting the Denmark international.

L’equipe reported that Marseille are keen on strengthening their defence with either Kurt Zouma or Kjaer.
Kjaer is no stranger to France having previously played for Lille between 2013-15 before joining Fenerbahce.
The powerful centre-back has also attracted keen interest from Liverpool.
According to AMK, the Reds have held talks with Beck.
The Turkish sports newspaper also report that Liverpool have set aside £10 million for the in-demand centre-back.
The Danish defender has established himself as a star player for Fenerbahce and a fan favourite.
Kjaer does have another two-years remaining on his contract but Fenerbahce will have to sell some of their highest value players in order to raise funds for a planned summer overhaul.
Due to Financial Fair Play constraints, Fenerbahce are limited to what they can spend this summer unless they can sell high value players.
If this is true give em Sakho + 20m and get us Lacazette.
Now that would be a great deal!! Lacazette is definitely leaving – although it seems Atletico Madrid is his preferred destination (pending an appeal over their transfer ban).
Yeah just hoping their ban doesn’t get overturned (but that looks unlikely). What baffles me is that he openly said he wanted to play with Griezmann but then Griezmann has said there’s a chance he may go to United. So not really sure what to think!
Griezman has offers but AM will be very reluctant to sell if they can’t replace him. Lacazette may feel he can actually get more recognition at AM than he does at Lyon – its not like he hasn’t been regularly scoring but the national team seem to pick Benzema, Griezman and even Giroud over Lacazette. Still think we should have looked to sign him when Suarez left…
Oh I completely agree, even after that we should have gone for him over Benteke. But what can you do; Lyon were willing to sell as well as I remember like 1.5 years back they accepted a £19m bid for him from Newcastle. Yet we paid £16m for Balotelli, brilliant…
