Man United receive transfer blow as agent confirms £16m Portuguese ace will ‘join’ Red Bull Leipzig

Galatasaray winger Bruma is reported to have struck a deal with Red Bull Leipzig.

Bruma’s agent Catio Balde claims that the 23-year-old will join Leipzig following Galatasaray’s final game of the season.

Balde underlined that Bruma will play his last game for Galatasaray against Konyaspor on Saturday.

“Galatasaray and Red Bull have reached an agreement, Bruma will play his last game for the club on Saturday,” Balde was quoted as saying by Fanatik.

“There are a few issues to sort out but he will join Leipzig.”

Per the source, Leipzig have offered £16 million [€18 million].

Galatasaray president Dursun Ozbek confirmed receiving an offer from Leipzig but has denied that a deal has been reached.

“It is true, Leipzig have made an offer but we have not made a decision yet, negotiations are actually still ongoing,” Ozbek was quoted as saying by Turkish-Football.

Portuguese ace Bruma has also been closely linked with a move to the Premier League.

Manchester United Eastern European scout Krsto Kilibarda was recently spotted at the Gaziantepspor vs Galatasaray Turkish league game a fortnight ago keeping tabs on Bruma.

Turkish outlet Fotomac meanwhile recently reported that Tottenham and United sent representatives to Istanbul to hold initial talks with Galatasaray over Bruma.

Bruma has revealed in the past that he would be keen on working with United head coach Jose Mourinho.

When asked if he’d like to link up with Mourinho, he told O’Jogo: “Of course. Any player would love to work with him.

“It would be an honour for me, but, while it doesn’t happen, I’m focused here.”

Bruma has just over 12 months remaining on his contract and has yet to extend his deal.
