Liverpool to reject all offers for star midfielder Emre Can despite Juventus plotting move

Liverpool are determined to keep hold of Emre Can this summer despite the 23-year-old entering the last 12 months of his contract.

The Liverpool Echo report that the Reds have ‘no intention of selling Emre Can and will reject any offers made.

The Premier League giants hope to extend Can’s contract over the next few months after talks over a new deal stalled last season.

Star midfielder Emre Can has attracted interest from Italian giants Juventus over recent weeks.

The Italian giants are reported to be plotting a move for the midfielder or Turkish origin.

The Reds will however, keep Can on at the club even if he does not put pen to paper on a new deal this summer.

Liverpool could end up losing the Germany international on a free transfer if he does not sign a new deal by January.

Can is currently on international duty at the Confederations Cup in Russia and will miss the beginning of pre-season training as a result.

The powerful midfielder is one of three players of Turkish origin at the tournament – the others being Hoffenheim midfielder Kerem Demirbay and Bursaspor full-back Aziz Behich.

  1. As a Juve fan I say “Please don’t buy Can!” We already have one very slow, very uncreative German midfield man. Why do we need two?”
