‘He’s built for the EPL’ – Man United fans react to reports claiming deal has been agreed with £22m attacking midfielder Anderson Talisca
Anderson Talisca has been closely linked with a move to Manchester United over the past week.
To be fair the transfer rumours are largely his own doing.
The 23-year-old claimed that United boss Jose Mourinho wants him and has done so for a long time.
“That is a question I can not give an answer to just yet,” Talisca told Globoesporte when asked about United interest.
“I cannot deny there is interest but what happens next depends on Benfica and my representatives.
“There will be news on this soon.
“Look every player dreams of playing under him [Jose Mourinho].
“Mourinho wants me, he has wanted me for a long time and I am an admirer of his work.
“I had a good season so we will see what happens.”
This was followed by conflicting reports claiming on the one hand that United have struck a deal and on the other that no offer has yet been made.
Turkish sports newspaper AMK reported that United have reached an agreement with Talisca.
Besiktas club official Metin Albayrak meanwhile was quoted by Turkish-Football as saying: Well every players dreams of playing in the Premier League or La Liga but Talisca has another year with us,” Albayrak was quoted as saying by Turkish-Football.
“We have to be informed of any transfers, it cannot go ahead without us at the table, we have not been informed of a Man United deal.”

Generally fans seemed pretty pleased with the prospect of Talisca joining.

Benfica rejected Talisca not because he is a bad player but because he had a dispute with the board. Talisca has potential to become huge.

Talisca single handedly scored 12 percent of all the free-kick goal in the Turkish league.

Not everyone appears to be impressed by Talisca but it is worth noting that he scored that free-kick against the same keeper Manchester City shelled out on a few weeks back.
