Germany were held to a 1-1 draw against Chile in their second Confederations Cup Group B game at Kazan, Russia yesterday.

The draw kept Germany and Chile tied at the top of the table on four points with Cameroon and Australia both on one point.

Liverpool star midfielder Emre Can did not get to start in the 3-2 draw against Australia.

Joachim Low did however, start Can against Chile in central midfield.

We took a look at how Liverpool fans reacted to Can’s display on social media.

Can was pretty much the architect of the equalising goal against Chile.

And tweet of the day award goes to…

The midfielder of Turkish origin enjoyed widespread praise for his display and his role in the goal.

Can’t win over everyone I guess.

Fans were calling for a contract again! Can has just 12 months remaining on his Liverpool contract, leading to speculation that he could be headed for a summer exit.

Liverpool fans seem keen on Can extending his contract.

  1. I dont think can was that good tbh he hasnt improve much since joining lfc and is now stuttering and not signing contract why is he doing tht if he is in lov with lfc
