Euro giants enter talks with Arsenal star Mesut Ozil after contacting agent Dr Erkut Sogut
Besiktas are the latest club to be linked with a move for Arsenal star Mesut Ozil.
The Hurriyet newspaper claim that the Black Eagles made an enquiry to Ozil’s agent, Dr Erkut Sogut regarding his availability.
Per the source, Besiktas entered talks with Ozil’s representatives to get an understanding of what fees they are demanding.

Talks are still at an early stage however, the report claims that Ozil’s representatives are considering their options.
Ozil has 12 months remaining on his contract but has yet to sign an extension.
The Super Lig champions are planning to reinvest the transfer revenues made through summer sales in a marquee signing.
The Eagles would still struggle to make Arsenal an attractive offer even if they were to sell star names this window.
The Super Lig outfit are however, prepared to wait until the end of the transfer window and try to snap up Ozil for a cut-price fee.
The playmaker of Turkish origin will be available on a free transfer in six months if the Gunners fail to sort out his contract situation.
It is worth stressing that a transfer of this magnitude would stretch Besiktas’ budget and the club are already under pressure from Financial Fair Play.
Besiktas have won the league title for two-years running and have booked another season of Champions League football.
The Istanbul giants reached the Europa League quarter-finals before bowing out against Lyon on penalties.
Ozil is currently on holiday with Miss Ex World Turkey 2014 in Ibiza, Spain. The 28-year-old is expected to join Arsenal for pre-season training in Australia.
