‘I don’t want to leave’ – Newcastle & Stoke City suffer blow as defender confirms he does not want Premier League return
Fenerbahce defender Martin Skrtel has been closely linked with a return to the Premier League.
Newcastle United, Stoke City Swansea City are reported to be plotting a move for the Slovakian international according to Turkish sports newspaper Sozcu.

Skrtel has however, revealed that he is happy at Fenerbahce and not keen on moving back to England.
“I don’t want to leave, I have settled in and want to remain at Fenerbahce,” the experienced defender said.
The 32-year-old joined Fenerbahce on a €6 million move from Liverpool last season.
The powerful defender still has another two-years remaining on his contract.
Skrtel does have years of Premier League experience behind him, having spent eight seasons at the Reds.
In fact it was currently Newcastle boss Rafa Benitez who first signed him to Liverpool during his time in charge of the club.
The experienced centre-back scored three times and provided two assists in 49 appearances for Fenerbahce in all competitions last season.
