‘My Grandpa Could Make That Pass’ – Liverpool fans react to Emre Can Confederations Cup display on social media

Germany reached the Confederations Cup final after beating Mexico 4-1 on Thursday, in Russia.

Liverpool midfielder Emre Can did not start but he did make a second half display and provided the fourth and final assist.

Nobody quite knows for certain yet why Can did not get the nod but there have been suggestions that it was due to a minor injury.

The assist was his first ever in the tournament but his performance drew a mixed response.

Was he injured? does Joachim Low not trust him yet? after all this is a weakened Germany side missing most of their first team stars.

There were Liverpool fans asking for Can’s contract to be renewed again, this has become a common theme lately.

The 23-year-old has just 12 months remaining on his current deal and has yet to sign an extension.
