Liverpool star Emre Can lifted the Confederations Cup trophy after Germany beat Chile 1-0 in the final yesterday.

Can did not start the game, in fact he was dropped from the starting line-up for the second consecutive game – he was also benched against Mexico in the semi finals.

The midfielder of Turkish origin did play the last 10 minutes and managed to pick up his second yellow card in his last two games.

The 23-year-old shared a picture on Instagram following the victory, holding the trophy.

Can revealed in his captions that there are ‘no words needed’ to describe what it was like to lift the trophy.

The Reds star made history in the process, being part of the first Germany side to win the tournament.
