Photo: Ex Liverpool star drops hint that Real Madrid defender Pepe is joining Turkish champions after sharing tussle from 2009

Besiktas are on the verge of completing the transfer of Real Madrid veteran Pepe.

A source close to the Black Eagles revealed to Turkish-Football that the deal is near complete.

Pepe is expected to join Besiktas on a 2+1 year deal within the next 48 hours.

Fans of the Istanbul giants are however, waiting for official confirmation from the club.

In the meantime they have been relying on any form of hint or transfer story for updates.

Ryan Babel delivered a hint today that Pepe is on his way.

The Dutch winger shared a photograph on his Instagram playing against Pepe during his time at Liverpool.

Babel captioned the photo as being a throwback – which is commonplace on a Thursday.

The photo shows Babel and Pepe having a tussle from a Champions League game in 2009.

What was interesting was that he decided to pick a photograph playing against Pepe.

Coincidence? I think not.
