Ozil got so frustrated with not providing assist that he tried to set himself up.
Ozil hit that free-kick against the post on purpose to try and get an assist.

Wonderful game, but it pains me to see your shot hit the post… Go ya gunners #mesutozil #bestmidfielder

Ozil gave his own post-match Twitter analysis of the game. His choice of wording did get a few Arsenal fans heartbeat racing.

Ozil and Lacazette look like they could form a formidable partnership.
Can’t wait to see you linking up with Laca, I believe you guys are gonna be an explosive duo?

Is there a new assist king in town?
We can probably let Ozil go I reckon. All hail the new king of the assist. pic.twitter.com/0to5rHyVJp

Not sure how this relates to the game… but to be fair Ozil does actually speak English.
I’m a big believer that if you go to live in a country you should learn the language.
Ozil, after 4 years still can’t speak English#Lazy

So this is what he was referring to. Ozil may not speak perfect English but it is probably enough to communicate with team-mates. Then again most of the team do speak German now.
Was still doing interviews for English media with German translator the other day.
Awful

I wouldn’t want to conduct an interview in my second language at the moment if I was Ozil.
