Agent confirms Arsenal ace wants to leave this summer after handing in transfer request
Arsenal striker Lucas Perez has handed in his transfer request according to Goal.
Per the source, Perez wants to leave this summer after growing disgruntled with his role at the club.
Goal spoke to Perez’s agent Rodrigo Lovelle who basically confirmed what Turkish-Football reported earlier in the week.
Lovelle confirmed Arsenal want £13.4 million for his client and that Perez wants first-team football as he wants to make the Spain World Cup squad.
“€15m (£13.4m) is an expensive price,” Rodrigo Fernandez Lovelle said.
“Lucas wants to go to the World Cup and be happy at a place where he has opportunities to play.”
Turkish-Football can confirm that Fenerbahce agreed personal terms Perez but have yet to strike a deal with Arsenal.
The Yellow Canaries want the Spanish striker on loan but the Gunners want him sold on a permanent deal.
Fenerbahce did sell Simon Kjaer to Sevilla for €12.5 million last week which could be reinvested in Perez.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger appears to have given Perez the green light to leave this summer.
“Yes, because we have a congestion of strikers,” said Wenger when asked whether Lucas will leave this summer.
Perez has fallen behind Olivier Giroud and Alexandre Lacazette in the pecking order.
