Michael Owen reveals prediction for Arsenal v Chelsea Community Shield clash
Former Liverpool and Real Madrid striker Michael Owen has revealed his prediction for the Arsenal v Chelsea Community Shield clash.
The Gunners recorded a victory over Chelsea in their last head-to-head at Wembley in the FA Cup final. However, Owen is backing the Blues to get revenge on their London rivals today.
Owen stated that he hasn’t been impressed with Chelsea’s transfer dealings this summer but feels the Blues will still have too much for Arsenal.
The former England international has tipped Conte’s side to record a 2-1 win over Arsenal today.

“It would be wrong to say I have been overly impressed by the business the champions have done this summer although I do feel Tiemoue Bakayoko, who misses Sunday’s game through injury, is a great addition to the Blues’ squad,” Owen told BetVictor.
“That said, I do feel they will have too much for Arsenal in what promises to be an entertaining and informative contest. Do note the sides have already met in pre-season with the Champions winning 3-0 in the Bird’s Nest Stadium in China a fortnight ago.
“The Gunners have won their last seven games at Wembley and I expect them to give a very good account of themselves, but I feel it will be Gary Cahill who lifts the Trophy after an entertaining and competitive game.”
Antonio Conte’s side won the Premier League by a comfortable margin last season but will be missing several key names today.
Last season’s top scorer Diego Costa will miss today’s clash after falling out with Conte. Eden Hazard has been ruled out with an ankle injury while summer signing Bakayoko is also sidelined.
