Super Lig giants will wait until January to sign £27m Man United midfielder after talks in England
Galatasaray will wait until January to sign Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini a source close to the Istanbul giants told Turkish-Football.
The Lions sent club officials to England for talks with United over striking an agreement over the transfer of Fellaini.
United were not keen on selling the Belgium international and Galatasaray could not get the Red Devils to accept a transfer fee under €10 million.

The Istanbul giants had already reached an agreement-in-principle with Fellaini’s representatives worth €4 million per-season on a four-year deal – including a €4.5 million sign on bonus.
Galatasaray sporting director Cenk Ergun confirmed just over a week ago that they were in talks with Fellaini.
“There will be surprises, we are in talks with Fellaini,” Ergun told Turkish-Football on Saturday.
United boss Jose Mourinho was quick to shoot down the Lions efforts to sign Fellaini.
“It’s easier for Galatasaray to get me than to get Maroaune,” Mourinho was quoted as saying by Goal.
“Forget it. He’s too important to me.”
Despite claiming Fellaini is an important player, United have yet to offer a contract extension.
The 28-year-old who cost United £27 million from Everton [BBC] back in 2014 has under 12 months remaining on his contract.
Galatasaray are confident they will be able to sign Fellaini on a free transfer in January.
The powerful midfielder would then be free to join Galatasaray next summer.
The Super Lig outfit would however, be unwilling to offer the same salary. Fellaini may end up having to accept a cut-price deal if United do not offer him an extension by January.
Galatasaray have been rebuilding this summer after a disappointing season. The Lions are financially one of the most powerful clubs in Turkey – and Europe.
The Istanbul based outfit have one of the largest fanbases in the UEFA zone with a combined 24 million social media followers – across Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.
