Spurs are also reported to be keen on the 27-year-old leaving.
The North London outfit paid £30 million for Sissoko on transfer-deadline day in order to sign him.
The only concrete offer Spurs have for the France international is from Trabzonspor.
The Chronicle claim that Tottenham want to recoup at least two-thirds of the £30 million they invested in him.
Trabzonspor want Sissoko as a marquee signing to celebrate their 50th year anniversary this season.
The Black Sea based outfit would be able to offer the powerful midfielder regular first-team football next season.
