Liverpool star Emre Can continues to receive interest from Juventus despite recently revealing that he will be staying this season.

Gazzetta dello Sport are claiming that Can has rejected Liverpool’s attempts to get him to sign a new contract.

Can has under 12 months remaining on his current deal and unless he signs an extension Liverpool could end up losing him on a free transfer.

Per the source, Juventus are offering €25 million but Liverpool are demanding €30 million.

The Italian giants also have their eye on Blaise Matuidi, Steven N’Zonzi and Strootman.

Juventus have been linked with Can throughout the summer window but Liverpool are intent on keeping hold of their star players.

The midfielder of Turkish origin is expected to be named in the Reds squad against Watford in their Premier League opener over the weekend.

The 23-year-old did feature in the Reds pre-season friendlies after returning from his extended summer break – following Germany’s Confederations Cup triumph.

  1. Emre is a good player but with plenty of room for improvement. I wouldn’t shed A tear if He leaves but then LFC may actually be the only team that will guarantee playing time for him come next season. Keita may then be available and A host of other players eager to join LFC. Especially if We remain in top 4 and if We can reach the knockout stages of CL.
