£45m summer signing out of Man City squad while Ilkay Gundogan returns after long-term injury
Summer signing Kyle Walker has been left out of Manchester City’s squad ahead of their friendly with Girona.
The England international – who joined Man City for £45 million (BBC) from Tottenham – played the full 90 minutes during City’s 2-0 win over Brighton.
Walker put in an impressive display and has been rested ahead of this weekend’s encounter with Everton.
Meanwhile, injured duo Ilkay Gundogan and Benjamin Mendy have both been included in the 25-man squad.
Gundogan has been sidelined for City since suffering a knee injury back in December. The 26-year-old joined first-team training with the rest of the squad over the summer. However, Gundogan has not played a game for City during the pre-season.

Mendy missed last weekends clash due to a thigh injury. Samir Nasri and Fabian Delph have also been left out of the squad.
