It what looks to be the most outlandish transfer story of the day, retired Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt has been linked with a move to Galatasaray.

The Turkish outlet Fotomac claim that Galatasaray are contemplating a move for the former Olympic gold medalist.

Per the source, Galatasaray officials are looking into ways of building the club’s brand and popularity across the world and see Bolt as a potential ambassador for the club.

The 19-time global champion Bolt ran his last athletics race in London last week. Unfortunately, the 100m record holder suffered a hamstring injury during a relay-race and was helped off the track by his team-mates.

Bolt confirmed via social media that he had suffered a muscle tear and said the injury will require three months of rehabilitation.

The 30-year-old was due to play in the Manchester United Legends’ game against Barcelona at Old Trafford on 2 September.

Several former United players including Edwin van der Sar, Paul Scholes and Dwight Yorke were all expected to take part in the charity game.
