‘Sanchez is going to go’ Arsenal legend Ian Wright issues warning regarding star players contracts

Arsenal legend Ian Wright has sent out a warning to Arsenal regarding their star assets, Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez.

The former England international believes Sanchez will remain at Arsenal this season but will not sign a new contract with the Gunners.

Wright also believes that the Gunners are running the risk of losing Ozil for free if they don’t sort out a new contract.

Ozil has under 12-months remaining on his current deal with the north London-based club.

Wright told Skysport’s that clubs around Europe will be lining up to sign Ozil for free come January.

“You say that now but i guarantee, if Ozil gets to January and still hasn’t sorted his contract out [There will be interest],” Wright stated on Skysports The Debate show.

“Mesut Ozil for free? That’s a bargain. I think they [Arsenal] have to be careful about that.

“I think Sanchez is going to go. I believe if Mesut goes it will be even worse. Especially if he gets to walk out for free there might not be any takers now but there will be.”

Wright also defended Ozil from criticism following Arsenal’s defeat at the hands of Stoke City.

Arsenal take on Liverpool at Anfield this weekend as they look to return to winning ways.

The Merseyside based club come into the game following three back-to-back wins, including a 4-2 victory over Hoffenheim on Wednesday.
