Liverpool team news: Brazil international could return to starting XI for Sevilla clash, Klopp without two star names

Liverpool return to the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday night to host La Liga giants Sevilla.

The game takes place at Anfield stadium and kick-off is scheduled for 19:45 (GMT).

Jurgen Klopp’s side will be looking to bounce back from Saturday’s disappointing 5-0 defeat at the hands of Manchester City. Sevilla meanwhile come into the game off the back of a 3-0 win over Eibar.

Liverpool team news:

Liverpool boss Klopp is missing several key names going into Wednesday night’s clash.

Nathaniel Clyne and Adam Lallana are both ruled out with injuries. Meanwhile Brazil international Philippe Coutinho could return to the starting lineup after he joined to first-team training last week.

Senegal international Sadio Mane is likely to start for Liverpool after being sent off for his collision with Man City keeper Ederson.

Germany international Emre Can is expected to keep his place in midfield despite failing to pen a new deal with the Reds. The 23-year-old has under 10 months remaining on his contract with Liverpool.
