‘The Turkish league is drunk’ – Tottenham fans in disbelief as star striker scores for Fenerbahce
Tottenham striker Vincent Janssen was the talk of the town in Istanbul over the weekend following his first goal for Fenerbahce.
The Netherlands international is currently on a season-long loan at Fener after failing to impress at the north London-based club last season.
Interestingly, Janssen managed to score just two Premier League goals last term for Tottenham. The 23-year-old scored Fenerbahce’s opening goal during their 4-1 win over Alanyaspor on Sunday.
Spurs fans took to social media in shock following the Dutchman’s strike.

Janssen fell down the pecking order at Tottenham following the deadline day signing of Fernando Llorente from Swansea City. The young striker joined former Spurs forward Roberto Soldado at Fenerbahce in the process.
Soldado and Janssen were both big money signings for the North London based outfit but did not exactly hit the ground running.
Tottenham meanwhile were held to a 0-0 draw by Swansea City this weekend.
