Chris Kamara slams Liverpool star for role in Burnley goal
Liverpool were held to a 1-1 draw against Burnley at Anfield on Saturday 16 September.
Germany international Emre Can started for the Reds and while he did provide the assist for Mohamed Salah’s equaliser he was also at fault for Burnley’s first goal – at least according to Sky Sports pundit Chris Kamara.
The midfielder of Turkish origin was accused of ball watching and losing his man in the attacking move which resulted in the goal.

“We looked at the goal yesterday, the Scott Arfield goal, look at this, three strikers you’d have to say against the back four,” Kamara said on Sky Sports.
“The player who we’ve circled there is the goalscorer Scott Arfield and his marker, Emre Can.
“If this ball goes out to the right hand side, you watch Emre Can who’s with him now, then he goes with him.
“But it doesn’t, it goes to the opposite side. So all of a sudden, Emre Can, as the marker, ball watches.
“Scott Arfield is in the position behind him, they win the header there, they might get a little bit of luck for the ball to get through that gap, but look at Arfield now, coming in on his own.
“Emre Can knows now while he’s on the D that he should have gone with him.
“He didn’t and it’s an excellent finish.”
Arfield gave Burnley the lead but Can made amends with a defence splitting through ball to setup Salah just minutes afterwards.
Can now has two goals and two assists in all competitions for Liverpool this season.
The 23-year-old midfielder has yet to sign a new contract deal and has less than 12 months remaining on his current agreement.
Liverpool are currently in 8th position in the league on eight points after five games.
The Reds will take on Leicester City next in the Football League Cup Third Round on Tuesday 19 September at the King Power stadium.
