Marin Keown reveals why Arsenal were ‘better’ without Alexis Sanchez & Mesut Ozil
Arsenal held Premier League champions Chelsea to a goalless draw at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
The Gunners put on an impressive display despite being without star duo Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil.
Arsenal legend Martin Keown told the Daily Mail that the team do not desperately need Sanchez and Ozil.
In fact he went onto say that the North London outfit were better defensively as a result of the duo being out.

He told the Daily Mail: “Without these two, Arsenal were much better defensively.
“They were disciplined, worked together and pressed as a unit to close down Chelsea.
“This was the first time that Chelsea have failed to score at Stamford Bridge under Antonio Conte.
“When Chelsea were in possession, Arsenal put them under such pressure they made Gary Cahill look like he could not pass.
“How many times do you see Sanchez flying forward to press and no one coming to join him? Arsene Wenger has not been brave enough to leave out Ozil but how much does he offer the team?”
Ozil was officially left out due to injury and Sanchez has only recently recovered from his injury.
The future of Ozil and Sanchez at Arsenal remains in doubt as both players have under 12 months remaining on their contract.
Neither player as of yet has agreed to a new deal and the Gunners could end up losing both players on a free transfer unless an agreement is reached.
Ozil has no assists or goals for Arsenal in the Premier League this season, Sanchez meanwhile has one goal in four appearances.
