Watch: Man City star injured after 10 months out following West Brom midfielder’s tackle from behind
Manchester City star Ilkay Gundogan made his return after spending 10 months out injured in the 2-1 victory over West Brom in the Carabao Cup yesterday.
Gundogan played a role in Leroy Sane’s opening goal, taking the initial shot which was blocked by West Brom keeper Ben Foster into the path of the Germany international.
The midfielder of Turkish origin did however, have to be taken off early in the second half after a tackle from behind by Claudio Yacob.
The severity of Gundogan’s injury is yet unknown but he is not expected to be out for a lengthy period of time.
