Man City destroy Crystal Palace in 5-0 thrashing, star playmaker misses game with knee injury
Manchester City remain at the top of the Premier League table following a comfortable victory over Crystal Palace earlier today.
The Eagles are yet to pick-up a point in the Premier League and came into the game following five defeats in a row.
City showed no mercy and recorded a 5-0 win over Roy Hodgson’s side at the Etihad Stadium.
Germany international Leroy Sane opened the scoring with a fabulous goal after 44 minutes. The young winger plucked the ball out of the air, dribbled past a Palace defender before sliding the ball into the back of the net.

Goalscorer turned provider after 51 minutes when Sane set up Raheem Sterling for an easy finish. Sterling scored his second goal just eight minutes late to put City 3-0 up.
Kun Aguero added to his tally in the 79th minutes to secure all three points for Pep Guardiola’s side. Fabian Delph added insult to injury in the 89th making the score 5-0.
Man City take on Shakhtar Donetsk in the UEFA Champions League on September 26. Star playmaker Ilkay Gundogan missed today’s clash after suffering a knee injury during City’s win over West Brom during the week.
