Besiktas boss Senol Gunes faces a tough decision in defence if Adriano is ruled out.
Pepe is almost certain to start in defence but will be joined by either Tosic or Medel – neither of whom are centre-backs.
Red Bull Leipzig have a few injury concerns themselves. Kevin Kampl is out with a knee injury but Naby Keita who has a doubt is expected to recover in time.
It remains to be seen whether head coach Ralph Hasenhuttl will start Keita but he is expected to be included in the match-day squad.
Despite playing for the Reds, Keita has already agreed to join the Premier League giants for £48 million at the end of the season according to the BBC.
Besiktas are currently first in Group G after beating Porto 3-1 in Portugal on Match Day 1.
