Bundesliga star set to join Liverpool for £48m received worst midfield rating in Champions League clash
Liverpool agreed to pay the £48 million release clause for Red Bull Leipzig star Naby Keita over the summer according to the BBC.
Per the source, despite striking a deal with the Reds, Keita will join the Premier League giants at the end of the season.
Until then Keita will play for last seasons Bundesliga runners-up.
Liverpool fans keeping track of Keita’s progress will probably not be pleased to hear that he was statistically the worst midfielder for his side mid-week.
Keita scored a 5.97 for Leipzig following their 2-0 Champions League defeat to Besiktas on Whoscored.

Only striker Jean-Kevin Augustin scored a lower rating of 5.42.
Keita looked rattled by the atmosphere in Istanbul and lost his cool early on. The referee booked the 22-year-old after four successive rash tackles.
A less lenient referee could have sent Keita off inside the first 45 minutes. In fact Leipzig manager Ralph Hasenhuttl was set to take him off in the first half but had to abort plans due to Timo Werner.
The striker complained about the noise in the stadium and requested to be substituted off on 31 minutes which forced the boss to keep Keita on.
Keita was eventually taken off on 58 minutes former Galatasaray winger Bruma.
This was Keita’s first Champions League game as he missed the 1-1 draw against Monaco on Match Day 1.
We all know how excellent Keita is. We also know he doesnt want to be with Leipzig. Could it be that if he spits his dummy out he gets a January move? The EPL will see how good he is!
