Liverpool news: Star midfielder Emre Can receives call-up to Germany national team
Liverpool star midfielder Emre Can has been included in the Germany national team squad.
Joachim Low’s side take on Northern Ireland and Azerbaijan in the World Cup qualification group stage. Germany have recorded eight wins in eight games, scoring 35 goals in the process while only conceding two.
Can has a been a constant feature in the Germany national team in recent months but is yet to secure his place in Low’s starting XI.
The 23-year-old also featured for Germany over the summer during their Confederations Cup win in Russia.
Can has been in impressive for Liverpool this season. The former Bayer Leverkusen man is one of the first names on Klopp’s team sheet and has started five of Liverpool’s six Premier League games this season.
Can was also included in Klopp’s starting lineup for Liverpool’s 1-1 draw with Spartak Moscow in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday.
