‘Idek how he gets chosen for Germany’ – Liverpool fans slam Emre Can despite not even playing against Newcastle United
Liverpool were held to a 1-1 draw against Newcastle United at St James Park on Sunday 1 October.
The Reds dropped into 7th position following the away draw – their second consecutive 1-1 result.
Liverpool midfielder Emre Can did not start the game but was included on the bench.
The midfielder of Turkish origin did not feature at all over the course of the 90 minutes.
Despite not playing a single minute Can was still a hot topic after the game.
We took a look at how Liverpool fans reacted to the 23-year-old not being used against the Magpies.

Was Can dropped or was Jurgen Klopp simply rotating?

Could you have said rested rather than dropped? Which is closer to the truth

when its Liverpool our fans use “dropped” but if its pep our same fans say he is “rotating”

Or maybe just giving the others a run out/chance…

Bantz!
A 100m sprint between Sturridge and Emre Can would take an hour and Can would only win as Sturridge would pull his hamstring after 7 yards

Can has come under fire recently from sections of the media and fanbase. We are not sure how he was still criticised against Newcastle United when he did not even play.
Emre Can is also shit. All his fan boys just make me laugh. He’s so inconsistent, idek how he gets chosen for Germany.

Is the Liverpool midfield good enough?
-Lallana
-Oxlade Chamberlain
-Wijnaldum
-Emre Can
-HendersonYou are winning ZERO with that midfield, respectively. #LFC

Henderson is averaging 75% pass accuracy this season, do you know how criminal that is for a player deployed as the deepest CM?
— Steelo (@CoutskilI) October 1, 2017
Wijnaldum is averaging 25 passes a game (?) at 80% pass accuracy. Emre Can 83%. This Liverpool midfield is a worst of all time

Remember the good old days?
I can’t believe we have come this far from Alonso, Mascherano and Gerard

Good question! Who would you rather have?
Who do you rather have: Hendo or Can?
