Beşiktaş winger Gökhan Töre did not start against Eskişehirspor in the Süper Lig on Sunday and now faces a race against time to fully recover before the Liverpool match according to team doctor Ertuğrul Karanlık.
The Black Eagles lost 1-0 against EsEs at the Atatürk stadium. Beşiktaş were also defeated 1-0 by Liverpool at Anfield on Thursday 19 February in the Europa League Round of 32 first-leg.
“He picked up a knock to his left ankle in the Liverpool game, he does not have a lot of time to recover but we are doing everything we can to get him ready in time for the Liverpool game,” Karanlık told the official Beşiktaş website.
“He missed training today but we will do everything possible to get him ready for Thursday.”
