Arsenal receive boost in race to sign £90m international star – potential Mesut Ozil replacement
Arsenal have received a boost in the race to sign Monaco star midfielder Thomas Lemar.
According to the German outlet Kicker, Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich have pulled out the race to sign the France international.
The Gunners came close to signing Lemar over the transfer window. Arsene Wenger’s side have a £90 million bid for the young midfielder accepted however, Lemar turned down the move.
The Daily Star states that Arsenal have maintained their interest in Lemar and could make a move for him in January.
Lemar is being viewed as a replacement for either Alexis Sanchez or Mesut Ozil.
