Liverpool ace leads £20m rated Turkish international in Champions League Player of the Week vote
UEFA revealed their candidates for the Champions League Match Day 3 Player of the Week awards following the Wednesday round of games.
Besiktas star Cenk Tosun, Liverpool ace Mohamed Salah, Spartak Moscow midfielder Quincy Promes, Barcelona legend Lione Messi, Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo, Manchester United youngster Marcus Rashford, Chelsea’s Eden Hazard and PSG man Neymar all made the list.
Salah and Tosun are currently the only main candidates in the voting with the Liverpool winger leading with 53 percent and the Turkish international is currently on 34 percent.
The voting period ends in under 24 hours time.
Tosun scored a brace in the 2-0 win over Monaco to take his goal tally to three in the competition.
The 26-year-old has directly contributed to four goals in the Champions League – three goals and one assist.

Tosun scored Champions League goal of the week in the 3-1 away win over Porto on Match Day 1.
Salah meanwhile scored and provided an assist in the 7-0 victory over Maribor.
The Egyptian international also won the last player of the week award for his display against Sevilla on Match Day 1.
