‘Ozil is not worth feeding’ – Horse racing legend launches scathing attack on Arsenal star
Arsenal beat Red Star Belgrade 1-0 in Serbia yesterday in the Europa League Group H to keep their spot as leaders.
The Gunners won the game without star duo Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez. Neither player was included in the match day squad against the Serbian giants.
Ozil has recovered from his knee injury but Arsene Wenger decided to rotate his side for the European competition clash.
The 29-year-old has come under fire from sections of the fanbase and media this season due to poor form.
Horse racing legend Tony McCoy became the latest high profile name to wade into the debate with a scathing attack on the playmaker of Turkish origin.

He went as far to say he would not let Ozil anywhere near an Arsenal shirt.
McCoy, talking on the Only Balls and Horses podcast, said: “It’s been pretty disappointing, same old, same old. I’ve always been a fan of Arsene Wenger, I’d never say anything bad about him.
“The football’s pretty much the same. But we’ve got players there who are floating. Ozil is not worth feeding, never mind paying a contract. He doesn’t look like he wants to be there. I wouldn’t let him anywhere near an Arsenal shirt.”
Ozil has yet to score or provide an assist in all competitions this season but he is expected to feature for the Gunners on the weekend against Everton at Goodison Park on Sunday 22 October.
Arsenal head into the weekend clash in 6th position in the Premier League on 13 points after eight games this season.
