‘Has been absolutely horrible’ – Liverpool fans slam star man for display against Tottenham
Liverpool suffered a 4-1 defeat at the hands of Tottenham in the Premier League over the weekend at Wembley Stadium.
The Reds played poorly as the score suggests and Emre Can was just one of several players on the receiving end of an angry fanbase.
We took a look at how Liverpool fans reacted to Can’s display on social media.

Can is capable of a good performance, the problem many Liverpool fans appear to be having is his inconsistency.
Let Emre Can leaves if he wants, the guy is absolutely useless.

Emre Can during a match:
*yells for ball*
*gets ball*
*takes too long to make decision*
*loses possession*

More banter.

Does Can get a free pass because he is good looking?
If Emre Can looked like Jay Spearing he’d of been called out by Liverpool fans months ago. Half his fanbase is teenage girls

Is Can being favouritized over other Liverpool players?
The funny thing is, Emre Can is just as anonymous as Wijnaldum in certain games, and he gets literally half the stick for it. It’s not fair.

Should he be sold?
Cheers Emre Can.
Just when we were getting back in the game.
Sell him in January please he clearly doesn’t want to be here!

Should he join Juventus? the Italian giants have been closely linked with the 23-year-old midfielder over the past few months.
Emre Can has been absolutely horrible. Lost balls, made the wrong passes, wrong shots, and gave cheap fouls. @juventusfc please take him.

Now that is a cheap pun if ever there was one.

Should he be given a new contract? with under 12 months remaining on his current deal time is running out. The Reds could end up losing him for free at this rate.
Emre Can doesn’t do enough for me to warrant all this contract talk, if he doesn’t sign one then fine! Not as good as some fans make out pic.twitter.com/CLcuCOAYOS

If Emre Can is not going to sign a new contract, stop playing him. Play those who are committed to club. Decide what Firmino is because he isn’t a central striker.

Emre can’s career highlight is that overhead kick at palace and he’s stressing us over new contract? Lol sell him this Jan for 5M

Can was also slated for letting Dele Alli do this to him over the weekend – not for the first time either.
