Arsenal face competition for Bundesliga wonder kid they have scouted for two years from Besiktas
Arsenal have been closely linked with a move for Stuttgart rising star Berkay Ozcan.
The 19-year-old revealed that the Gunners have been scouting him for two-years and that they have been in talks with his agent.
“My agent and I are in talks with Arsenal,” Ozcan was quoted as saying by Turkish sports newspaper Fanatik.
“Arsenal have been scouting me for the past two years and send representatives to watch my games.
“My agent is in direct talks for them.
“I am not sure if now is the right time to join Arsenal, it may be a bit early for me.
“I want to prove myself here and keep developing first.
“Ultimately, Arsenal is the club I want to join in the future, god willing I will achieve my goal.”
Ozcan has also been closely linked with reigning Super Lig champions Besiktas.
The Turkey youth international remained coy on whether Besiktas have made an offer.

“I cannot talk about this,” Ozcan added.
“I am focused on my football, my agent is dealing with all that.
“You will all find out what happens very soon anyway.”
Besiktas are currently first in the Champions League Group G having won their first three games.
The Black Eagles will book a place in the next round if they pick up a point in their next three games.
Besiktas have a policy of signing young Turkish prospects from Western Europe. The Istanbul giants had success signing Oguzhan Ozyakup from Arsenal as well as former Fulham youth Kerim Frei and ex Chelsea youngster Gokhan Tore.
The attacking midfielder was born in Germany but is of Turkish origin like Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil.
Ozil represents Germany at international level while Ozcan plays for Turkey.
